For the past two years, I have had the pleasure of working with Dijeau & Poage Construction lead by James Mitchell on a particular residence in Pacific Heights. This experience has been seamless in that their construction firm is comprised of extremely organized, customer-service based, and personable individuals with the highest of integrity.
As a designer myself, I found that their firm not only listened well in day-to-day operations but we problem solved in a non-reactive, highly calm fashion. DPC are good communicators and we were able to accomplish many things, executing a high quality product, in a professional manner. We collaborated on a very complicated layout of a garden including: structural support systems, hot tub, fountain, and an elliptical shaped seating area, stairs, limestone paving, and firepit all within in a tight backyard setting. DPC is adept at taking design concepts and turning them into reality, providing mock-ups and sound technical solutions so that the process seems effortless. DPC hires quality subcontractors and managed them well.
Given tight working conditions in San Francisco neighborhoods, DPC interacts well with client's neighbors. Their jobsite's are neat and tidy and their staff professional. They know how to be efficient and get jobs executed in a timely manner.
As a landscape designer and a mother with a tight schedule, I find working with DPC an absolute joy. Nothing is left to chance, no stone unturned and we get a lot more done because we cover a lot of ground. I have worked for three of their clients now. DPC has extremely satisfied loyal clientele.
Both Andy and James are family oriented people. They not only understand the needs of changing families in changing economics times but also can relate to the daily life of a busy family. They provide support to their clients in many ways, making DPC an integral part of any family. Not only does DPC know how to support their clients, but they create a memorable working experience and a beautiful product with pride.

I wanted to sincerely thank you for the referral to Andy Poage and Dijeau+Poage Construction. I used them as our contractor for our kitchen remodel–it turned out so well! Andy was easy to work with. Very dependable, flexible, an excellent communicator and over all, very high quality work and good subcontractors to boot.

The first email I want to send is to you Andy, James and Sam, to let you know how THRILLED we are with our home and how happy we are to be in it. I cannot tell you how happy, happy, happy we are. This is all thanks to you all! Your hard and outstanding work surround us and fill us with utter joy! You have worked hard on this project and your attention to detail shows. I am so thankful that DPC built our home, you guys are OUTSTANDING!!!!! It has been an honor working with you all.

To whom it may concern,
Dijeau+Poage Construction organized a seamless remodel of our home. The project was completed on time and budget, in spite of my changes and additions. James Dijeau transformed my ideas into workable, livable designs that are practical for us and attractive to others if we sell our home. Their workers were thoughtful of our neighbors and left a clean, orderly space each day.
